The ASEAN South American German Biotech Network (ASAG) is a virtual web portal designed to facilitate and enable not only the Alumni of the acclaimed ASAG-Biotech-Network but also every scientist, technician, policy maker, etc. who are interested in biotechnology (sensu latu) and to get easy access to data and workgroups.

ASAG targets to support R&D institutes, industry (especially small and medium sized companies), scientific opinion leaders, Governmental Ministries and Agencies with some practical access from this site as follows:

Please access the homepages of most of the R&D institutes of universities and research centres in Germany by entering keywords under "Direct Access – Data – Research" in the portal menu. For some ASEAN countries and Brazil you can also search for institutes, but this is still under steady development. Under "Industry" you can access the websites of more than 200 biotech industries in Germany.

If you are interested that your work group, department or institute should be listed, please send us a mail informing about name of the institute, website address, and keywords including the last names of the key researchers, and we will put you into the data system.
(» info@asag-biotech.net)

This global portal platform enables members to exchange information, ideas, and results swiftly and effectively whilst having access to links and resources covering key areas of Biotechnology and commercial applications.

Members also enjoy the benefits of download material to assist in the successful transfer of technology from laboratory bench to market and the Alumni section enables the members to keep in regular contact, both from a scientific, commercial, and social standpoint, enabling the co-operation of research and development projects, accelerating results and reducing costs.

Three alumni of the ASAG-Biotech-Network, Dr. Carolyn Vargas (TU Kaiserslautern), Prof. Dr. Renato Reyes Central Luzon State University) and Morgan Lozada St. Luke’s Medical Center), together with Prof. Dr. Sandro Keller (TU Kaiserslautern), organized a workshop on » Scientific Writing in the Philippines.
